GETTYSBURG AMERICAN LEGION WALL OF HONOR

Honor a Veteran

The Gettysburg American Legion is in the process of building a new facility in Gettysburg. In the new home we plan to honor both living and deceased veterans with a wall constructed of engraved bricks. The name and branch of service will be engraved on the brick and a star and gold paint will note veterans who were killed in action. The veteran does not have to be a member of the Gettysburg American Legion

The cost of the brick will be a Fifty-Dollar minimum donation. Each person who purchases a memorial brick will receive a Certificate of Ownership, which they can keep or present to the individual they purchased the brick for. All veterans who have a brick will also be listed on the Gettysburg American legion WALL OF HONOR on our web page. Photographs of the veteran, preferably in uniform, will also be displayed if so desired. This option can be added at the time of purchase or at a future date. Bricks ordered by non Post 202 members must show proof of service. This can be in a copy of form 53-55, dd214, discharge or membership card in any veteran's organization. All photographs will be returned to the individual. Buy a brick engraved with your name or that of a friend or loved one and ensure a permanent remembrance of those who have served their country. Send the information online and mail a check for $60.00, or print the form and send it along with a check to The Gettysburg American Legion Post 202, P.O.Box 3386, Gettysburg, Pa. 17325.
